About Barnett
Barnett is a full time Realtor/Broker Associate with Carolina One Real Estate who uses his unique background, education, and experience to help people. He is licensed as a Real Estate Broker in the State of South Carolina. He is a native South Carolinian. He attended public schools in Florence, South Carolina and then attended and graduated from Woodberry Forest School, a boarding school in Virginia. Barnett is an Eagle Scout and was in the Order of the Arrow. While at Woodberry Barnett was involved in various activities (dealing with track, cross country, and music), and he had a leadership position as a Prefect. Barnett prides himself on being very well rounded. While at Woodberry and in his life he has been an avid reader, writer, and musician. Barnett attended and graduated from college at UNC-Chapel Hill where he earned his B.A. with honors in English. He also attended and completed the Carolina Business Institute in Chapel Hill, NC. After UNC Barnett attended and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He always wanted to use his education to help people, and after having various work experiences in the legal field (as a volunteer, intern, and law clerk) Barnett decided to help people with real estate as a Realtor. In law school Barnett enjoyed classes dealing with topics such as business, contracts, property, and real estate transactions (among other classes he like). He entered into the real estate profession full time in 2007 and has continued through what has been one of the most interesting times in American economic history. He has seen himself as an entrepreneur since the days of his youth when he and his brother would go around their neighborhood asking neighbors if they could shine shoes and being creative and trying to sell various things. Barnett's Grandfather was very involved with real estate. His father and uncle have been and are involved in real estate. His parents have taught him a lot about business since he was very young. Business and real estate is very much in Barnett's blood. He is very talented in finding people what they want and helping them obtain it. Barnett is excellent at communicating, writing, and negotiating. He pays close attention to details, and he listens more than he speaks.
Barnett has his SFR--Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certification from the National Association of Realtors. He holds his GREEN designation from the Green Resource Council. Barnett has also earned his ABR- Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation from the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council.
